Dr Tarn Montagu graduated from Western Sydney University in 2014, completing his internship and residency at Blacktown Hospital. He then trained in Emergency Medicine at Concord Hospital before relocating to Brisbane in 2019. In Brisbane, Dr Montagu worked in the Emergency Department at The Prince Charles Hospital before transitioning to General Practice, where he became a Fellow in 2021.

Dr Montagu has expertise in weight management and obesity medicine, offering the latest evidence-based medical treatment options for weight loss. He also provides expert care for patients who have had bariatric surgery, assisting with post-surgery challenges, including nutritional deficiencies and managing weight regain. His approach is holistic and personalised, addressing the individual needs of each patient, whether they are considering medical weight loss treatments or seeking ongoing support after surgery.

Dr Montagu is also passionate about helping individuals who suspect they may have ADHD. He takes the time to assess their symptoms and guide them through the process of obtaining a timely psychiatry review, as is currently required in Queensland. For patients with an existing or previous ADHD diagnosis, he provides ongoing support, offering strategies and prescribing where needed to help them thrive and reach their full potential. Dr Montagu is also a member of the Australian ADHD Professionals Association (AADPA).

Dr Montagu enjoys treating patients of all ages, including families with young children, with a focus on the well-being of the entire family. He values long-term relationships with his patients and provides care that is tailored to their unique needs, ensuring a comprehensive and personalised healthcare experience.

Outside of work, Dr Montagu is a dog lover with a passion for ice hockey and tennis. He operates his medical services business at Family
