The GPs and nurses are experienced in caring for all ages from newborns to toddlers to adolescents and beyond. Kids vaccinations
Family Doctors Plus caters to the specific needs of children to reduce the stress often associated with visiting medical clinics. There is a dedicated kids’ waiting area and a fun, friendly kids’ vaccination room. The nurturing nurses provide great support to both parents and children. Vaccinations are available for older children who may prefer not to have them done at school. Additionally, the clinic offers vaccines outside the Queensland Immunisation Schedule, such as Meningococcal B (Bexsero) and travel vaccines.
Healthy kids checks
The team offer healthy kids check in which they perform a comprehensive assessment of your child including hearing, speech and vision to ensure your child starts school with the best possible health. Allied health professionals who work with children and adolescents can provide you with added support when needed. Contraception – Contraceptive Rod/Implant insertion/removal, Hormonal IUD insertion/removal
Most of the doctors providing sessions at Family Doctors Plus are experienced in all aspects of contraception. Many of the doctors have worked at Family Planning Queensland/True relationship clinics and can provide up-to-date information and advice regarding the best option for you. Pre pregnancy advice and pregnancy care
Most of the doctors have experience in caring for patients who are embarking on the pregnancy journey and provide shared antenatal care for women who are pregnant. They also focus on pre pregnancy planning, lifestyle advice and nutrition to optimize your health and the health of your baby. They can provide shared care together with the Mater Mothers’ and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospitals.

Management of menopause
Menopause and perimenopause can be a challenging time for some women. An experienced doctor can guide you through this change of life with care and compassion, whilst providing up-to-date information on nutrition, exercise, hormone therapy and other forms of treatment if required. Dr Anne Nixon is experienced in the treatment of hormonal issues in both men and women and in the use of biodentical compounds.
PCOS or Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
Many of the doctors are experienced in helping women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and the associated symptoms of weight gain, acne, increased hair, irregular periods and infertility. PCOS is a common problem that is underdiagnosed and these doctors are passionate about helping diagnose and treat any concerns you may have to do with your periods or hormones.
Cervical Screening

Immunisations for well people
The team believe in being proactive about keeping you well. Providing vaccinations such as influenza vaccines, whooping cough vaccines, shingle vaccines and routine boosters is an important part of the approach to preventative medicine. You can access a wide range of vaccines on site including travel, influenza, Pfizer COVID, Shingles, Q Fever and Yellow Fever vaccines. Some vaccines may need to be pre-ordered.
