Dr Craig Schmeider completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2008 with an Army scholarship and worked at both the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital before entering general practice training. Craig completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2013. Prior to studying Medicine, he worked as an Army Environmental Health Officer in the fields of public health and preventive medicine and has worked as an Army Doctor and Environmental Health Officer throughout Australia and Internationally.
Craig has a special interest in skin cancer medicine. He has completed a Masters of Skin Cancer Medicine through the University of Queensland and is an accredited skin cancer doctor with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. Craig has completed a Certificate of Clinical Occupational Medicine through Monash University and is comfortable working in all aspects of general practice. His other areas of interest include sports medicine, paediatrics, travel medicine, occupational medicine, women’s, men’s and adolescent health and he has completed the National Certificate in Reproductive & Sexual Health.
Craig is married with four children, is a Reds Rugby tragic and enjoys travel. Dr Craig Schmeider operates his own medical services business at Family Doctors Plus.
