Dr Alison Green enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has an enthusiastic, empathic and evidence-based approach. She has worked in General Practice on the northside of Brisbane since 2015.
She has a particular interest in Pregnancy, Antenatal Shared Care and Paediatrics, and has a Diploma of Child Health which complements her Fellowship in General Practice. Further key interests and experience include
- Preventative health care, especially assessing and addressing cardiovascular risk
- Perimenopause/menopause
- Hypertension
- Eczema
Dr Green grew up in Toowoomba, is a graduate of the University of Queensland, and maintains strong ties to the University, as a Senior Lecturer. Her work in advocacy through AMA Queensland is focused on achieving the best possible health outcomes for patients, and a sustainable, safe and fulfilling career for her medical colleagues. Outside of medicine, she enjoys adventures with her family of 4, reading, endless home improvements, and travel.
Dr Alison Green operates her own medical services business at Family Doctors Plus. At this time she has limited capacity to see new patients, and limits this to new patients seeking pregnancy care (including unplanned pregnancy), and existing patients of the practice. Dr Green does not currently diagnose ADHD or make changes to existing ADHD pharmacological treatments. She does prescribe for patients with a confirmed ADHD diagnosis & treatment plan & can share care with your ADHD treating doctor.
