Dr Pete Bowstead completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney in 2017. His training commenced at St George and Sutherland Hospitals in Southern Sydney and continued at The Prince Charles Hospital and Caboolture Hospital in his hometown of Brisbane. He completed rotations in neurology, respiratory medicine, geriatrics, general medicine, general surgery, paediatrics and emergency.
Since entering general practice at the start of 2021, he has developed interests in all areas of general practice and particularly enjoys men’s health, sexual health, LGBTIQ+ health, chronic disease management and geriatric medicine. He also offers skin cancer checks and minor procedures including ear suction, minor laceration repair (non face/hand), iron infusions and skin biopsies. He is passionate about patient education and preventative health. Outside of the clinic he holds an academic position at UQ School of Medicine teaching first year medical students and otherwise can be found running, listening to music or perfecting his barista skills.
