Jess is a GP with a special interest in women’s health, particularly fertility, pregnancy care, contraception and abortion, sexual health, and menopause. She holds a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and spent most of her hospital years working in obstetrics and gynaecology before moving into general practice.
Jessica is passionate about providing whole-person care – from supporting couples trying to conceive, to caring for women through pregnancy and into parenthood, and then looking after their babies as they grow. She is also involved in perinatal research and medical student teaching at UQ, and works with MSI Australia in abortion and contraception care.
She is skilled in procedures including iron infusions, skin lesion excisions, Implanon insertions, and IUD insertions (Mirena, Kyleena, Copper).
Outside of work, Jess loves spending time at the beach (attempting to surf), running, reading (book recommendations welcome!), and chasing after her toddler.
