Dr Ayodhya Jayasinghe is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and completed her fellowship training in Brisbane, Gympie and Noosa. Dr Jayasinghe grew up in Canberra and completed her degrees in Medical Science and Medicine at the Australian National University. She has worked in various hospitals in South East Queensland including the Mater Adult, Mater Children’s and Mater Mother’s Hospitals in Brisbane, the Nambour General Hospital and the Noosa Hospital. Having recently relocated from Noosa with her family, she is excited to join the wonderful team at Family Doctors Plus. Dr Jayasinghe enjoys all areas of general practice and welcomes anyone with concerns about their health, with an emphasis on women of all ages, ante and post-natal health, reproductive health and children’s health. She believes passionately in the importance of clear communication in the doctor-patient relationship, and providing thorough high quality health care and education for both treatment and prevention of disease. Dr Jayasinghe looks forward to working in partnership with her patients to improve their health and well-being in a relaxed, understanding and non-judgemental environment.
