Dr Rhys Young was born and raised in the Northern suburbs of Brisbane. He completed his medical degree at Griffith University on the Gold Coast and returned to Brisbane to work at Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital and Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital.
Dr Rhys is passionate about helping people take charge of their own health. He enjoys helping people through lifestyle changes such as weight loss programs, increasing physical activity, making healthier diet choices and maintaining good mental health. Dr Rhys has special interests in adolescent health, mental health and sexual & LGBTQ health. He hopes to provide a safe environment where patients can feel comfortable talking about their concerns.
Before getting into General Practice Dr Rhys worked in the Multidisciplinary Pain Centre at Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital. Dr Rhys take a holistic approach to chronic pain by learning more about you as a person. He focuses on improving your experience with pain by looking into physical activity, lifestyle, nutrition, sleep and thoughts.
