Dr Melanie Simpson completed her medical degree with Honours at the University Of Queensland. After a move to Melbourne she completed a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and then went on to obtain her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Dr Simpson has worked in suburban general practice in Melbourne since then. She was a maternity shared care provider with three major obstetrics hospitals in Melbourne and has extensive experience in women’s health and pre- and post-pregnancy management as well as in the care of newborns and children. She is currently studying to complete an International Certificate in Lactation Consulting.
Dr Simpson also enjoys the general aspects of General Practice and is happy to see patients of any age or stage of life. Men’s health and mental health can sometimes be neglected and she is keen to develop relationships with her patients to allow them to make better decisions regarding their health.
