Dr Craig Schmeider completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2008 with an Army scholarship and worked at both the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital before entering general practice training. Craig completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2013. Prior to studying Medicine, he worked as an Army Environmental Health Officer in the fields of public health and preventive medicine and has worked as a Doctor and Environmental Health Officer throughout Australia and overseas.
Craig has a special interest in skin cancer medicine, is an accredited skin cancer doctor with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and will complete his Masters of Skin Cancer Medicine through the University of Queensland in 2019. Craig is comfortable working in all aspects of general practice and his other areas of interest include sports medicine, paediatrics, travel medicine, women’s, men’s and adolescent health and he has completed the National Certificate in Reproductive & Sexual Health.
Craig is married with four children, is a Reds Rugby tragic and enjoys travel. Craig welcomes new patients of all ages.
